Create Your Culture, Don’t Let it Create You
“I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my decisions.” -Stephen Covey
In leadership across the globe today, many leaders are asking the question “how do I keep up with the change that just keeps coming?”
How about you? Are you creating circumstances, or are you letting them create you? I understand that we as leaders can’t control everything that comes our way. As a leader in the healthcare industry change is a constant. In America today, we can’t even decide who should control an individuals healthcare and how it should be paid when the care is provided.
One thing we all know for sure. Change is constant and change is coming. You might as well embrace the change and be proactive in creating how you lead change, and how your teams responds to the change that occurs.
Your culture is one thing that will determine how the team responds to change. And you are the creator of this culture. John Maxwell states “Everything rises and falls on leadership” and you are the leader.
